CLUTCH - HOW DOES IT WORK?
When the clutch pedal is pressed, the drive from the engine to the gearbox is interrupted, allowing the smooth selection of the next gear.
When the clutch becomes worn the selection of gears becomes harder
(Pedal very heavy to push or gears not selecting smoothly or
crunching). There is no set distance or time that a clutch unit will last
for as it depends on various factors ie. Carrying heavy loads, more
urban driving than motorway driving, short journeys etc. If you think
your clutch might be wearing give us a call to discuss or pop in for a free evaluation check.
